My Journey
Resentful. Anxious. Lonely. Controlling.
These were common emotions that crept up during the first 7 years of my daughter’s life. My husband was developing a new business, my anxiety around my daughter’s safety was through the roof and working remotely from home, I felt lost and alone. As these feelings grew, my normal joy, enthusiasm, and ability maintain positive connections faded. I knew something had to shift if I wanted to have a healthy marriage, regain parts of my pre-mom self and create the stability I knew we needed in our home. I didn’t need to make a drastic change in my life, but I knew my mindset about what was happening needed a change.
When my daughter turned 7, and after years of blaming others and my circumstances, I realized that this issue was mine and mine alone. I participated in the Positive Intelligence program and learned very quickly the specific habitual thought patterns that kept me in this negative loop. These insights allowed me to see beyond the thoughts, which gave me access to not only my intuition and wisdom, but also more vitality, creativity and joy. It’s from that place, that I have been able to create small shifts that have had big impacts on my family, my relationships and my own personal growth.
I am a work in progress, and I don’t claim to have all the answers. I don’t always nail it and I don’t always know what to do. But what I do know, is that beyond the vicious cycle of negative thoughts lies a world with more peace, joy, and connection. I would love to help you get there.
